I can’t believe it’s over! I can’t believe I did it. We, my team did it. This was the largest undertaking I have ever completed since college I think. It was an amazing time. I met so many wonderful people who helped me throughout the week. The baker lady and all of her wonderful fresh foods and encouragement was a God sent for sure. She visited me daily and helped me with anything I needed.
I should have mentioned him first but my sweet uncle tom , this would not have been such a pleasant experience without his positive attitude and willingness to help every step of the way. I had only met my uncle once before. This adventure has really bonded us. I am so thankful for him.
Then there’s my parents of course. They were there every step of the way from day one. Their encouragement and belief in me gave me the confidence to go through with this.
I finally met my tshirt lady
She makes ordering my tshirts so easy and has become a dear friend. I draw tiny little designs in my pen and ink drawings. I don’t know how she does it bit she does an amazing job.
There were so many interesting people that walked by me. At this festival there was everything. Even the kitchen sink.
The dog people were my favorite.
And of course there were the people that loved my art. Their appreciation for what I had created was mind blowing. Knowing that there are people out there that are wearing my shirts and hanging my paintings is mind blowing.
Then there was my next door neighbor, the barbecue lady and her helper the undercover artist. Barbecue lady fed me any time I needed it and I really enjoyed the undercover artist conversation.
Festivals are such a great way to collect people in your life. Everyone loves what they do and offer their individual talents. You can see them exuding their skill and it looks good on them. This was a memorable ten days.
